Happy bloggerversary to me

I hear that the 4 year anniversary gift is linen or silk. I'll be expecting new sheets from all of you in the mail.

In honor of the big day, I made up the word "bloggerversary," debated putting some cool html like scrolling text or strikethroughs in this post, and perused about a year of entries until my eyes started burning. I thought it would be cool if I could take little bits from all of my entries and put them in this one, because a lot of them are really funny. But... I made it to May 2003 and the Word document is like 6 pages long, haha. I'm going to put the ones that I have done thus far, and you can look through and laugh. Keep in mind that I'm 16 and 17 in these posts, and not much has changed ("Boys + Hannah = Retardation" comes to mind), and the phrase "lol" appears quite frequently. I bet that the two years after that are also funny, but I'll spare us all the agony.

2002

Welp... Nicole has inspired me... I am now wasting more time on the computer by putting my thoughts on a website.

Guys, GET READY. The movie of the century comes out next Friday. Yes folks, "A Walk to Remember".

And yes, he is a real SHOE.

Do you ever make a fool of yourself? I always do.

Every time someone walked by and I said something, it came out all garbled. For example... "Hey, good show tonight!" was "Hey, blehablehbudoobee!

I am a hopeless romantic.

Quite frankly... I hope that I get to be a Hot Box dancer.

Oh yeah, Eliza... yeah Sam kissed you? Okay. Lol. You coulda EMAILED ME!!

The whole New Year's resolution is making my life so boring... not to obsess about guys so much... I mean it's working, but uh... I never have anything to talk about.

I hate Valentine's Day.

And I got a D+ on Mr. Ace's test. I was kind of expecting something completely different... an A or a B maybe.

Nicole, you made me smile out loud.

I wonder if anyone reads these.

Well, yesterday we went to Bonny's house, and Ara likes me now, which is a plus... even though Ara and Ella asked me every five minutes when Eliza was going to be home. What, like I'm not good enough?!?

I'm scared to death of coyotes. Yes, I saw "White Fang" several times, and also "Beauty and the Beast," and I know those are WOLVES, not coyotes, but I'm still scared of them.

Every time I talk to Scott he asks about Eliza. He's actually not as freaky looking as he used to be.

I HATE THE POLICE. Especially gay Mr. I don't have anything to do but sit in driveways and pull over poor unsuspecting teenagers for "speeding" because I HAVE THE AUTHORITY TO!!!

…and why was he going out with her anyway because she's a little butt?

Okay. I just saw a commercial for Felicity. I cried out loud.

…I'd think, "Oh, this is a blog moment."

I got over boys a long time ago. Hannah + Boys = Retardation.

Mr. Glaser gave me and Ashlinn a referral yesterday. I'm not too worried about it because Mr. Hare was way cool about it, but apparently Dad called discipline, and he hasn't gotten home yet... uh ohhhh...

Without Scrappy, Scooby and Shaggy wouldn't have a chance.

As much as I love Mark-Paul Gosselaar and want to marry him, Slater just didn't keep up with him in hotness.

"Who's the pretty girl? Friend of yours?"
"It came with the frame."

WHY DOES SHE GET TO TAKE HIM TO PROM AND NOT ME!?!?!

Do you know what it is like to be $209 in debt? (side note: I wish that I knew, since I'm approximately 10x that much in debt right now)

"I'll exquisite day YOU buddy, if you don't get down off that bag this minute."

He's a guy and guys are hopeless.

Today we had Noel Crane's twin brother as a substitute for physics. Everyone was in love with him. He was alright I guess... I always liked Ben better anyway.

"Mike Dexter is a GOD!"

MOANINGMONICA223, LEAVE ME ALONE!!

"Stephano dead? Sounds a bit fishy to me. I mean does The Phoenix really ever die?" – Katie Creekmur

That's when you know you're going crazy, it's when you start feeling bad for your goldfish.

I act like I'm 20.

I am very sorry about the misunderstanding... haha... I probably scared you.

"Relax, would you? We have fifty dollars and a pair of girls underpants. We're safe as kittens."

I hate Brian.

And... I had a run-in with the law today. Me, Ashlinn, Noah. Let's say it involved DHS security, a policeman, an ugly car and a roll of plastic wrap and leave it at that.

I liked Charity and Jessica, we all sat around and farted together.

I love Mr. Rogers. He makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.

I freaking hate... whatever I'm on.

My fish's tail fell off. That's all I have to say.

I am not indie at all!

Hi, my name is Hannah, and I'm a shopaholic.

I want a cell phone. Haha. I'm so sure I'm ever going to get one, but for some reason I just randomly thought that it would be fun to have one.

so much depends
upon

a red wheel
barrow

glazed with rain
water

beside the white
chickens... Now there's some food for thought.

Harry had a baby. Actually, Dawn did. Eve Terrill... she has long fingers.

Eliza called on Monday night! It was so exciting. I only got to talk to her for 4 minutes, so that kind of sucked, but ah well, what can you do. Really. It's because she wastes her minutes talking to Matt.

Last night was homecoming... ahh it was so fun!! I was pleasantly surprised. I mean, when you invite someone like Butch to a dance, you can never be too sure of what's going to happen. (side note: this sentence translates to “Butch kissed me last night.”)

Thing I love of the day: that I'm normal.

I just feel the black in me emerge when I hear that song.

Bruce: "David, are you bored?" David: "Out of my MIND!" Bruce: "I'm just sitting here waiting to take a shower and get ready to do nothing."

We talked about how I was a heartless wench.

Naked people! SO WEIRD!!

Eliza's mad at me because I didn't give her the answer that she wanted to hear!!

Ah! I love being Asian!

2003

I'm a lean, mean, fighting machine now. And I know how to take someone's eye out with my thumb.

"A GIANT LIVE BLOG!!! RUN for it!!!!" – Eliza

I just realized that St. Patrick's Day REALLY IS our song!!! Except Butch and I didn't last till St. Patrick's Day. We didn't even make it to Valentine's Day.

Eliza, did you have to look up "coccyx" before you used it in a sentence? And what is the sudden obsession with damn and hell?

He's so cute. Especially since he touched my back.

Call me fickle. I have recognized it.

The inevitable has happened. When I straighten my hair... I have... a fullet.

Thing I love of the day: I GOT INTO BYU!!!!!

I mean, what isn't there to like about rain?! And who doesn't want to be covered in it?!

Hotties always have girlfriends, it's so sad to me. But I don't care! Because I am BABYSITTING on Valentine's Day, and I have NO NEED for HOTTIES!!!

NicoWoman: i always like watching people make out, i live vicariously through them

Bling! Bling! That's right... I GOT MY BRACES OFF!

48 days until senior checkout... wow...

Also, Erin told me I should gain lots of weight and become a comedian.

You know when you hear something, good or bad, your stomach starts feeling all funny, but good funny? Like if someone gives you exciting news, or bad news... or if you listen to a song that reminds you of something good... it's weird. I don't know. I was watching the news earlier, too, and when I saw the little icon at the bottom that said "Military starts attack on Iraq"... I got that feeling... but I didn't like it.

I can just see my kids asking me about the war in 20 years... "What were you doing when the war started?" "Ohh... blogging."

Mom just called me to tell me that they found Elizabeth Smart alive.

My butt is numb.

HAHA! Lakers 120, Timberwolves 90... final score! YOU SUCK!

Do you ever get out of the blogging mood completely? sigh.

I was just looking at my blog... and I realized that I'm not very deep.

Call me crazy, but I didn't know that Erasure was gay.

I'll go watch the Wiggles with Henry. Maybe he'll go to prom with me.

"hannah is adamant that macs are better suited to this type of creative work" (nope... PC all the way.) (side note: haha. I post this from my iBook.)

Mom just came back and questioned my blogging. "You know, ANYONE can read that (duh). Dad's told me that the stuff that you've written is unappropriate." (side note: why did I write “unappropriate”? did I ever think that was a word?)

I love feeling popular.

Yowsa. So that's that. I was going to fool around with some html and make it indented so that it would be easier to read, but I have a lot to do, and I've already wasted time.

So, happy holidays, everyone. I'll celebrate by reading my Oxford History of World Cinema.

  6. 2 things:

    1) I love it. So funny. Mine is today and I've been trying to come up with a good BV post but haven't...I'M ALWAYS GOING TO BE ONE DAY BEHIND YOU!

    2) Hate to break it to you, but I totally invented "bloggerversary."

  7. I think that next year--#5--will merit a big-time bloggerversary celebration. A giant live blog, if you will.

  8. I was just falling asleep on the couch, when I thought, I should set up Austin (my brother-in-law) with Hannah (you).

    (I don't know you.)

(And I have never been a successful matchmaker.)

But maybe someday you two should meet. He goes to BYU.

Anyway, I couldn't sleep after that.

  9. haha! I totally know him! My friend introduced us and I interviewed him for an English project!

You can't go to BYU and escape meeting me. I'm gonna be honest.

  10. That makes me laugh that you already know him. I just thought he would be impressed with your movies and music acumen. He can watch movies and listen to music like the best of them.

  12. P.S. Austin also had a movie in the 24 film festival that I went to tonight. Speak of the freaking devil.
